Privacy Policy

MindCue  ·  Effective May 6, 2025

The short version

MindCue does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. Everything you create — reminders, notes, habits — lives only on your device. We have no servers that store your information.

Data stored on your device

MindCue stores the following information in a local SQLite database on your device only:

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up through your device's own backup system (iCloud or Google Backup).

Permissions we request

Calendar data accessed for sync is processed on-device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Internet access

MindCue requests internet access solely to receive over-the-air bug-fix updates delivered via Shorebird, a third-party update service. These updates contain only app code — no personal data is transmitted.

Shorebird's privacy policy is available at shorebird.dev/privacy.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. MindCue contains no advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or crash-reporting tools that transmit personal information.

Children's privacy

MindCue does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because all data remains on-device and no accounts are created, the app is safe for general use. If you believe a child has inadvertently provided personal data, please contact us and we will assist.

Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of MindCue after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
